Ultimatum Revision May Update

Hey Rebirthfans! Hope you're hanging in there with us.

Thanks for your patience with regards to Ultimatum's revision. I can tell some of you are eager to read it, as I've had a request or two about restoring access to the original version.

I made the decision to take down the original version for continuity reasons, but if you REALLY want to read it, check the Wayback Machine [link] It may or may not be there in its entirety, and bear in mind that in some respects, the revision is going to be quite different.

Unfortunately I'm going to say that a July release is looking highly unlikely. While I did make some strong progress today, and chapters 13 and 14 are pretty much down, with 15 almost ready, the next few chapters have some considerable reworking lined up for them. Pretty sure that's going to take more than two months. Urf...

It'll be worth it, guys! Promise!

PokePark 2 - Overall Review

UPDATE - Finished the main story mode of the game. Yeah... its a bit short. I've updated my first impressions into a full overview of the game.

I'm also going to be resetting the Pokemon Rebirth followers list by resubmitting the fan stamp, because I think there are a good deal of people on it that don't even know what Rebirth is. Just a heads up.

Ultimatum Release Date AIM

It's still early days yet, but I'm going to attempt to finish Ultimatum by the 14th of July.
Why the 14th of July? Well that's when the 15th Pokemon movie gets released in Japan. It'd be kind of cool to have a little "movie" release of our own, wouldn't it?

Obviously I can't guarantee this, but I'm going to aim for it.

Anyway, on the subject of my previous blog about making Ultimatum print-friendly and covers, here's a brainstorm of some cover ideas I've had thus far. They're all going to be in silhouette, for an air of mystery.

More Deliberating

So I got involved in reading someone else's fanfiction today. It's not Pokemon related, but it is totally blowing my mind with its awesome descriptives and how accurately characterized the familiar cast members are - right down to their dialogue quirks and mannerisms. Hang about on my Tumblr and I'll post a link sooner or later.

Anyway! Partway through reading, I was longing to print out the fanfic for later, book-like storage. It's just nice to have physical copies of things sometimes. Then it struck me like a rock. This shall be how I release the revised version of Ultimatum.

Print-friendly.

Each "episode" will have a cover, and will be presented in a format more suited to printed matter and eBook readers/tablets. I want to include illustrations but I don't know if this will be possible. Giving covers to every ep will amount to about 42 images or so as it is...we'll have to see how this goes.

The nostalgia fiend in me wants to make an anime-style title card for the series~

Keeping You In the Know

Lately I've had an idea avalanche with regards to episode 12 of Ultimatum, so that's been encouraging. But there's still a lot of work to be done on the revision. The more I write, the more I realise needs adjusting. And in the process, the result gets better and better!

After the revision is written, I am intending to process it through a select group of previewers which were decided upon early last year (if they're still able to do so). [link]

Once that is complete, I plan to release each 'episode' of Ultimatum on a daily basis over the course of a month - just to make sure no avid fans explode their brains trying to read all 40-something parts at once. Ehehe.

Though it looks like this may well become an 11th anniversary revision as opposed to a 10th anniversary one. I will continue to keep you all posted, either way!
